  • Can discuss management of wastewater; the membrane distillation process of water desalination and water supplies in the developing world.
  • Serves as faculty advisor to UD's Engineers Without Borders chapter. He currently spends one month each year working on a portable water project in the village of Bakang, Cameroon. Dentel has become such an integral part of the community that he was named a "Village Notable" in Cameroon in 2009.
